De Regenboog - Thank You!

Main Sponsor DCF - De Regenboog (The Rainbow) is a primary school in Voorhout, The Netherlands, with just more than 500 pupils divided over three locations. The school started to support DCF in the Spring of 2004. De Regenboog selected us as their charity, because they have a direct link with our foundation through teacher Nicoline, who is Treasurer of DCF.

In each class room the children save money in a piggy bank. Regularly, they can see on the funds indicator what amount they have raised and what we can do with it in our projects. The school also organizes occasional fundraising initiatives, for example during family services in church. In the weekly school newsletter, parents get regular updates about the fundraising and general information on DCF and the Child ‘N Family centers in Ecuador and Nepal.

DCF would like to thank De Regenboog for their involvement towards our projects. We think it is very important that people of different cultures interchange values and customs. It makes us very happy that the teachers, children and parents of De Regenboog share their experiences with the children and families of our centers, and vice versa.
