Thank You - Lucas-Choir in Elden!
21-06-2009 - Church Gift - On Sunday 21 June 2009 the annual event of Elden (NL) took place: a bicycle competition and all sorts of stands with things to buy and various kinds of entertainment. Also the Lucas-Choir had a booth, where people could buy an envelope for 50 Euro cents, with the chance of one out of five that they would win a prize.
Every year, the earnings of the game are donated to two charities. This year, Miep and Frans Tilleman, who know our secretary Ine, proposed the Child 'N Family center in Ambato as a charity. And yes; the Daniëlle Children's Fund was chosen, together with the cancer foundation of Alpe d'Huez. People were enthusiastic about us, because nothing sticks to the fingers within our fund; we guarantee that the donation goes entirely and directly to the children. The outcome of the game, moneywise, was a fabulous amount of Euro 387,50 for each charity; we can do a lot of good things with that sum in our center in Ecuador!
Herewith we would like to thank Miep and Frans, the Lucas-Choir, the ladies who made the stand into a huge success and of course everyone who played the game, for their contribution to our project in Ecuador!
