09-09-2010 - Organization Funds - Frankeland in Schiedam, The Netherlands, is an old people's nursing home; their care vision is "As normal as possible". This means that they respect the unique philosophy and cultural background of every elderly and that everyone's own rhythm and customs determine their daily pattern. Since years, the residents and personnel support projects in the Third World through their relief fund. They collect money through fixed fees of the personnel and residents, one-off donations and the profits of a two weekly bingo. The fund supports projects for children - because children are the future - and for elderly.
The family member of one of the eldest residents (she was 104!), put DCF in contact with this relief fund. After a meeting and regular pleasant contact, the committee of the Third World Relief Fund came with extraordinary news. One of the former inhabitants left a legacy to be spent in small Third World projects. One of the special projects chosen for this purpose was the Daniëlle Children's Fund.
Herewith, DCF would like to thank the Third World Relief Fund for their one-off allowance of Euro 1.000,00 which we will use in our Child 'N Family centers in Ecuador and Nepal!
