Thank You - Daycare Timboektoe!
17-11-2010 - Organization Funds - Children's daycare Timboektoe from The Netherlands is founded by Shannon, Jannet and Yasemin and the three of them daily take care of 15 children. They have all very different backgrounds in social work, tourism and education but share one passion: Children! In their pedagogic vision and methods they underline the following: small scale, vertical groups, regular structure, communication with the parents, nutrition, culture, outings and flexibility.
When Shannon was on holidays in Nepal, she was looking for a project to support with their daycare Timboektoe. She met our secretary Ine and found out that our Child 'N Family center seemed to have a lot in common with their daycare in The Netherlands. Shannon was very enthusiastic and at the end of her stay in Nepal she came to visit the center. Her choice was made: daycare Timboektoe will monthly donate for the operational costs of the Child 'N Family center! DCF is very grateful for this support and the children here in Nepal will definitely make more drawings for the children in The Netherlands!
