Thank You - DCF Volunteer Barbara!

01-04-2011 - Private Initiative - Before volunteer Barbara left for her holidays in The Netherlands, she asked family and friends to gather usable secondhand shoes for her to take to the Child 'N Family center in Ecuador. In the temporary custody we always need shoes: often the children arrive with slippers, bad sports shoes or rubber boots, which are not good for the kids feet.
After sending out her request, Barbara received loads of positive reactions. Really impressive! The mother of a good friend put an ad in the newspaper; another friend contacted the church choir and a school. An aunt of Barbara asked around and found various people who also donated socks.
