Thank You - De Regenboog in Voorhout!

25-04-2009 - School Contribution - Primary School De Regenboog (The Rainbow) in Voorhout NL, has been a regular sponsor of DCF since years now. The school chose DCF as their charity, because of the direct link they have with the foundation through teacher Nicoline, who is also treasurer of the fund.
The pupils save money for the foundation throughout the school year and in certain occasions, the school draws special attention to our projects.

In April 2009, this occurred during the Easter celebration. Ine, volunteer of DCF who just happened to be in Holland, gave a presentation with pictures and movies of the projects in Ecuador and Nepal. The children listened carefully and participated in an interactive way, asking a lot of questions. It was very interesting for the pupils and their teachers to hear and see where and how their donations are spent. On average, De Regenboog contributes around Euro 1.000,- every year. This money covers operational costs in Ecuador and Nepal, which of course also include educational expenses.

We want to thank the school for their involvement in our projects. We think it is extremely important that people all over the world exchange values with each other; we are very content that the children of De Regenboog are able to share experiences with the kids of our projects, and vice versa.
