Thank You - De Regenboog in Voorhout!

08-02-2010 - School Contribution - The teachers and children of primary school De Regenboog in The Netherlands have been a loyal sponsor to DCF for years now. Thanks to the direct link with teacher Nicoline, who also is treasurer of DCF, in 2009 the school saved almost Euro 1.800,-for our projects in Ecuador and Nepal! The pupils are very enthusiastic about the center in Ambato, as you can see in the reaction to our last newsletter from teachers Mathilde and Petra of group 7a.

Dear all!!
How nice to see the place and kids for which we are saving money We can only say that the children of our class are very involved. Not only through their donations, own sponsor activities and personal birthday gifts, but also through their individual prayers on Monday mornings.
"Can't we go there our next school outing?" they asked... This meant we had to show them the globe!!!

Besides the savings, some of the pupils have donated a huge bag full of second hand clothes for the Child 'N Family center in Ambato. Teacher Nicoline handed the clothes to chairman Helma who was in The Netherlands. They will be used for the boys and girls from 3 till 10 years old who will be living temporary in our center, until they are reunited with their families.

We thank the teachers and pupils of De Regenboog very much for their enthusiasm, involvement and fantastic donations!
