Thank You - St. Luke's Primary School!

31-05-2009 - School Contribution - St. Luke's C.E. Primary school is a Church of England Voluntary Aided School in Dorset. At St. Luke's they aim to have a Christian atmosphere, where staff and children work together to create a happy, safe, caring and stimulating learning environment in partnership with parents, governors and the wider community. The school aims to encourage excellence where everyone in the school community may develop their potential to the full, take responsibility and show respect for themselves, others and the environment, upholding Christian values.

The school has built links to Ecuador through their Aaron's Bright Light Fund. Thanks to teacher Sarah Sibley, St. Luke's already has a strong connection with our center in Ambato, Ecuador. The pupils in England have been raising money on a regular basis for the in need children of our center in Ambato. In May 2009, St. Luke's transferred the incredible amount of Euro 1.636,20! The kids in Ecuador have thanked their English friends by sending them beautiful handmade cards in return.

Aaron's Bright Light Fund, and through it DCF, is also supported by St. Mary Ladies Home Group, Rushden, who regularly make generous donations to the fund and enjoy hearing all about the children at the center in Ambato.
