Planning 2012 CNF Ecuador
24-01-2012 -During a meeting with all personnel, we evaluated 2011 and discussed the planning and objectives for 2012.
DCF Ecuador Board Members Helma and Marco preceded a meeting with all operational staff in Ambato. First the year 2011 was evaluated: it has been a positive year where we were able to continue the work with many children in need and their families. We contributed actively to the development and expansion of the social services network in the province of Tungurahua: our project is now a well-recognized services center in Ambato. Difficult have been the changes in staff we have had the last year, with three colleagues leaving.
In 2012 we will try hard to avoid alterations within the personnel team and the new director will focus on stimulating team spirit and effective collaboration within the team.
For the programs the main objective is to continue implementing the family engagement reunification model; this means the families and their system will be more closely involved in the entire process of reunification and aftercare, setting their own targets. The case managers, psychotherapists and facilitators all play an important role in this process, which will be closely supervised by the new director.
To make our services more efficient, we will provide more group therapies and Family Club Meetings, instead of only individual and family therapies. Through the Family Club Meetings, families will be able to build their own support network. At the same time we can offer the families more attention in less time.
